The Directorate General for Scouts and Guides in Muscat Governorate celebrated today the honoring of distinguished employees of the directorate and members of the scouting and guiding movement in the Sultanate of Oman.
The ceremony, held under the patronage of His Excellency Azan bin Qasim Al-Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, included a visual presentation showcasing the achievements of the Directorate General for Scouts and Guides across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, as well as musical pieces performed by the scouting band affiliated with the directorate.
The event featured a video presentation of the directorate’s activities and a national song segment presented by Al-Mashariq School for Basic Education in Muscat Governorate, along with the announcement of the Global Scout Camp competition, which will be held live and online, as well as the recipients of scouting and guiding qualification badges.
Additionally, the results of the community initiatives and projects competition for scouting and guiding units and rover scouts were announced, with North Al Batinah Governorate winning first place, Muscat Governorate coming in second, and Dhofar Governorate taking third place.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the patron of the event honored the winners and distinguished members of the scouting movement.
