A group of municipal council members praised the significant support that mosques and places of worship receive in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may God protect him. They expressed their appreciation for the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to open, renovate, and rehabilitate 40 mosques affiliated with the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments in all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In this context, Dr. Sayyid Shabr Ibrahim Al-Wadai, Chairman of the Northern Governorate Municipal Council, affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to meeting the aspirations of the community on all levels, especially with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, reflecting the insightful vision of His Majesty the King, may God protect him.
Al-Wadai praised the directive of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to open, renovate, and rehabilitate 40 mosques affiliated with the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments, indicating that it reflects the attention and care given to places of worship in the Kingdom of Bahrain and represents a blessed step in the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance religious values and encourage obedience and worship in the community.
For his part, Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul-Latif, Chairman of the Southern Governorate Municipal Council, commended the directive of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, noting that this is the fourth batch in the framework of the plan to develop mosques and emphasizes the attention and care that places of worship receive in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He added that this is not surprising from His Royal Highness, as he has followed in the footsteps of his ancestors in caring for and developing mosques.
Mr. Abdul-Latif expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his attention and follow-up on the affairs of places of worship, including renovation, construction, and rehabilitation, which aligns with the saying of God Almighty: “Indeed, the ones who populate the mosques of Allah are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah. For it is expected that those will be among the rightly guided.”
In turn, Engineer Saleh Taher Tarada, Chairman of the Capital Municipality Council, stated that the Capital Municipality Council highly appreciates the directive of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, which includes the opening, renovation, and rehabilitation of 40 mosques affiliated with the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments, demonstrating the significant interest in continuing the development of mosques in all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
