The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces its readiness for the Umrah season during the blessed month of Ramadan and reaffirms its commitment to providing proactive and advanced digital services to ensure the comfort and safety of citizens.

Abu Dhabi,

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed its full readiness and preparedness for the Umrah season during the holy month of Ramadan. This is part of its ongoing commitment to ensure the comfort and safety of UAE citizens while traveling abroad, in line with the leadership’s vision to enhance government work and provide proactive services that meet citizens’ aspirations.

The ministry explained that it has adopted a comprehensive plan to ensure the highest levels of support and follow-up for citizens during the Umrah season, through its advanced digital services available on its website: www.mofa.gov.ae, and the smart application “UAEMOFA.” This enables citizens to complete their transactions easily and conveniently, in addition to providing immediate responses to emergencies faced by travelers during their trips.

In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged citizens to take the necessary precautionary measures before traveling, including ensuring that Umrah performers receive the seasonal flu vaccine as per the requirements of the Ministry of Health and Prevention. Citizens are also advised to keep electronic copies of identification documents such as passports and IDs for easy access when needed. It is essential to review the “Umrah Guide” available on the ministry’s website or its smart application, which provides travel guidelines for each destination, ensuring a safe and smooth travel experience.

The ministry also emphasized the importance of keeping the emergency number for UAE travelers (0097180024), which operates around the clock to provide immediate support in emergencies.

As part of its efforts to enhance services for senior citizens and people of determination, the ministry has enabled their family members to register them in the “Tawajudi” service through its website, smart application, or via WhatsApp. This helps support teams monitor their affairs and provide necessary assistance while they are outside the country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that support and assistance teams are available 24/7 to answer citizens’ inquiries and provide necessary help through the call center at (0097180044444), emphasizing its commitment to providing a safe and smooth travel experience for all citizens during the Ramadan Umrah season.
