Vienna,
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) today maintained its expectations for relatively strong global oil demand growth in 2025, noting that air and ground travel will increase consumption.
In its monthly report, OPEC stated that global oil demand is expected to rise by 1.45 million barrels per day in 2025 and by 1.43 million barrels per day in 2026.
OPEC added in its report, “We are waiting to see how potential tariffs that may be imposed by the United States and other policy measures will affect growth and to what extent,” noting that it is not expected to have a significant impact on the current fundamental growth forecasts.
