His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, received Mr. Ayman bin Tawfeeq Al-Mouayad, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Company (ASRY), along with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Deputy CEO of ASRY, and Ms. Fatima Al-Majed, Acting Director of Communications. This meeting was held to mark their appointments at ASRY.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness congratulated them on their appointments at ASRY, expressing his wishes for their success and dedication in serving the Kingdom of Bahrain. Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the role played by Bahraini talents in enriching and supporting the comprehensive development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Ms. Fatima Al-Majed presented a brief overview of the promising opportunities offered by ASRY. The company provides four main services: ship repair and conversion, marine platform repair and conversion, naval ship repair and conversion, as well as manufacturing and engineering services. They emphasized that the company is now capable of meeting manufacturing requirements in the region with the required quality and aims to be the preferred facility.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed the active role ASRY plays in the national economy and its demonstrated ability to keep pace with rapid developments, positioning itself among the leading companies in its field.
It is noteworthy that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa was appointed as the Deputy CEO of the company after previously serving as the head of the audit committee at ASRY. Ms. Fatima Al-Majed was appointed as the Acting Director of Communications and is a graduate of the national “Lamaa” program.
