“Egyptian Trade Unions Federation Signs BOT Contract for Management and Development of Workers’ University Entities”

Egypt

The General Federation of Trade Unions in Egypt, under the leadership of Mohamed Gebran, has signed a Build-Operate-Transfer (B.O.T) contract with a company. The agreement aims to benefit from, manage, operate, and develop the assets, activities, services, and educational branches of the Workers’ University affiliated with the General Federation of Trade Unions in Egypt.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Executive Council of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Egypt. Mohamed Gebran emphasized the importance of this protocol, explaining that the contract was signed to obtain the right to use, exploit, manage, and operate the buildings and educational branches of the Workers’ University. The goal is to collaborate with specialized entities experienced in this field, seeking to maximize the utilization of affiliated assets for their advancement.

Gebran added that all assets belonging to the federation would be utilized to provide the necessary financial resources to strengthen the financial position of the Trade Unions Federation. This move is intended to offer services befitting the prestige of these institutions.

Furthermore, the university is exploring how to implement and enhance global quality certifications such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. This initiative is directed towards students in the field of production technology (Bachelor’s in Quality Control). The university, established in 1985, has 11 branches across various provinces.
