“Tunisian President Holds Talks with EU Leaders on Combating Irregular Migration and Economic Cooperation

Tunisian President Kais Saied met today, Sunday, with three leaders of the European Union at the Carthage Palace to discuss several issues, including combating irregular migration. It was announced that 100 million euros (approximately 107 million dollars) will be allocated to Tunisia to help contain the flow of migrants towards Europe.

Saied held talks with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, regarding cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, and migration.
