Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mannouri, Assistant Director of the Office of Schools of the Holy Quran, said that this celebration comes under many educational variables such as the activation of artificial intelligence programmes, the application of the 12th grade Cambridge curriculum and modifications of students’ choices of subjects, which were accompanied by the introduction of computer material and software ready for the 12th grade, focusing on the values, knowledge, knowledge, knowledge and skills that we cultivate.
He noted the interest of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science, represented in the Department of Educational Affairs, in celebrating — every year — Teacher’s Day; This is because of the great role played by the teachers of the institutes of Islamic sciences, the schools of the Holy Koran and the Institute of Sultan Qaboos to teach Arabic to other speakers, and to motivate them to give and work tirelessly to raise the level of our students.
During the ceremony, he gave a visual presentation on the efforts of the Center’s Department of Educational Affairs during the academic year: 2024/2025, followed by a poem delivered by Leith bin Khaled al-Nabhani, and then by Osman bin Musa al-Saadi, Assistant Director of the Sultan Qaboos Institute for Arabic Language Education for Other Speakers. Referring to the year 2022 at the observance of UNESCO Teachers’ Day on October 5th, she raised the slogan “Transformation of education begins with teachers”. Thus, nations that value their teachers, respect the people of science, are the nations that make their future by their own hands, and steadily move towards development and advancement.
At the end of the ceremony, H.E. the sponsor of the event honored a number of members of the management and teaching bodies and a group of teachers of the institutes of Islamic Sciences of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science.
