China’s passenger car exports increased by 7 percent year-on-year in January, reaching 395,000 units, while domestic sales declined by 0.5 percent on a year-on-year basis.
According to the Chinese news agency “Xinhua,” passenger car production rose by 3.3 percent year-on-year, reaching 2.15 million units last month, while sales increased by 0.8 percent to reach 2.13 million units.
The production and sales of multi-purpose vehicles achieved double-digit growth compared to the same period last year, and the production of sports utility vehicles also saw a marginal increase, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
