Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today organizedOman-Africa Business Forum, which discussed ways to enhance economic and trade partnerships between the Sultanate of Oman and some African countries.
The forum laid emphasis on several vital economic sectors such as food security, trade, logistics, energy, the financial sector, communications, civil construction, education, strategic studies, exhibitions, fisheries and others.
The forum stressed the importance of maximizing the benefit from the strategic location of the Horn of Africa, South and East Africa markets and their integration with the location of the Sultanate of Oman that overlooks global shipping and lines.

During the forum, some presentations were given on the most important exported and imported products between Oman and African countries, the investment potential of Oman, promising sectors, and the most prominent facilities and services provided by the special economic zones, free zones, and industrial cities in the Oman to investors.

B2b meetings were also held on the sidelines of the forum to discuss means of enhancing economic and trade cooperation and partnerships and explore business opportunities in the targeted sectors.
