His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar held an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace today.
At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan reiterated his welcome to Sheikh Tamim and his accompanying delegation. His Majesty expressed his delight over this visit, wishing him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay in Oman.
On his turn, Sheikh Tamim expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the warm welcome and hospitality.
The session reviewed relations of cooperation, understanding and fraternity between the two countries, in addition to areas of partnership and investment, and the available opportunities to promote them and open wider horizons in various spheres in a manner that boosts the economy of the two countries and meets aspirations of their peoples.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the current situation in the world and its future repercussions on the region, as well as exploring paths of regional and international peace, security and stability.
