Bank Muscat Extends Support to Sayyid Abbas Golf Tournament

MUSCAT,

Bank Muscat, the leading financial services providers in the Sultanate of Oman, extended its support to the prestigious Sayyid Abbas Golf tournament. This year’s tournament witnessed the participation of around 140 of the top golfers in the country. Faiz Mohammad Riaz, Vice-Chairman of Oman Golf Association, Guest of Honor, along with Abdullah Hamood Al Jufaili, Assistant General Manager – Digital Banking, Bank Muscat, gave away prizes to the winners in different categories.

Bank Muscat’s participation this year came in line with its commitment to promoting sports and community-centric activities as it places great emphasis on supporting initiatives aimed at contributing to the Sultanate’s progress and development across different spheres, particularly sports activities for the youth.

During his speech, Abdullah Hamood Al Jufaili, Assistant General Manager – Digital Banking, Bank Muscat, said: “This tournament has consistently attracted the finest amateur golfers from across the Sultanate, showcasing extraordinary talent. We take immense pride in our commitment to fostering sportsmanship and developing athletic skills through a variety of initiatives. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the organizing committee for their unwavering dedication and hard work in ensuring the success of this year’s tournament.”

As part of this strategy, Bank Muscat supports many sports activities. It has previously extended support to different sports activities in the country as part of its social responsibility initiatives. The Bank’s Green Sports programme is one of the leading CSR programs in Oman, which provides support to local sports teams as part of the Bank’s efforts to develop sports infrastructure and provide green spaces throughout the Sultanate of Oman. The facilities developed as part of the programme are often used as a venue for other social activities by local communities, leading to stronger social bonding and positive behaviour among young people as well as the development of talented Omani youth. Bank Muscat’s Green Sports programme has so far benefitted 203 teams with over 70,000 team members across the Sultanate of Oman.
