Omani Mills Company Unveils State-of-the-Art Animal Feed Production Facility

Matrah,

The Omani Mills Company is delighted to announce the grand unveiling of its advanced animal feed production plant in Matrah. Boasting an impressive production capacity of 20 tons of animal feed per hour, including a pre-mixing unit capable of producing 6 tons of pre-mix per hour, the inauguration ceremony was held under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources.

Mr. Haitham bin Mohammed Al Fannah, CEO of Omani Mills, underscored the strategic significance of the animal feed production plant in fortifying the nation’s food security and promoting the seamless integration of production chains. The facility incorporates state-of-the-art technology, leveraging robotic systems to streamline packaging and labeling processes, thereby optimizing efficiency and precision while mitigating the risks associated with human errors and accidents.

Positioned to meet Oman’s burgeoning demand for food manufacturing inputs, the plant capitalizes on its technological advancements and proximity to wheat mills, facilitating the efficient sourcing of milling by-products and bran. A cutting-edge pre-mixing unit enhances production flexibility, with advanced control systems ensuring the seamless regulation and coordination of operations throughout the entire facility.

Al Fannah stressed the significance of the high level of automation, enabling meticulous monitoring of ingredients, mixing processes, and integrated production. This meticulous approach results in the production of high-quality, competitively positioned animal feeds. The facility integrates automated control systems for calibration and standardization during production processes, allowing for swift adjustments and effective decision-making to uphold product quality.

Emphasizing the plant’s role in bolstering self-sufficiency in animal feeds, Al Fannah highlighted efforts to localize and develop such industries to meet the escalating demand in both local and regional markets. He noted the pivotal role of animal feed factories in advancing Oman’s livestock agriculture sector by enhancing productivity, quality, and sustainability, thereby contributing to food self-sufficiency and supporting national economic growth.

As the third facility of its kind established by Omani Mills, this plant aligns with the company’s unwavering commitment to the goals of Oman Vision 2040, reinforcing endeavors toward self-sufficiency and sustainable development.
