His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on Tuesday received Republic of India Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Royal Court at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.
An official reception ceremony was held for the Indian prime minister upon his arrival. Then, HRH the Crown Prince and the Indian prime minister held an official discussion session.
HRH the Crown Prince welcomed the Indian prime minister to the Kingdom, while Modi expressed his pleasure in visiting the Kingdom and meeting with HRH the Crown Prince.
During the session, they reviewed aspects of bilateral relations and discussed ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields. They also discussed the latest developments in the regional and international situation, the efforts being made to achieve security and stability, and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
HRH the Crown Prince and the Indian prime minister then co-chaired the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council, where topics on the council’s agenda were discussed in the presence of its members.
At the conclusion of the council meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and the Indian prime minister signed the minutes of the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council meeting.
Afterwards, HRH the Crown Prince held a meeting with the Indian prime minister.

From the Indian side, the reception was attended by Minister of External Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and India’s ambassador to the Kingdom Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, and several senior officials.
