The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism assigned a series of works to develop three mountain trails in Dhofar governorate to local companies specializing in this field, seeking to develop adventure tourism in Dhofar governorate.
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism’s development work includes the establishment of a route for high wire activity Viafrata, Mount Samhan, one of the adventurous activities on iron tracks at high altitudes of mountains and high slopes, The development also included the provision of indicative regulations for guiding visitors towards the aforementioned trails to mountain walking trails in the Ain Hazhar, Tibetani trees and Ain Ghadi trails. In addition to repainting the international marks of the walk, parts of the aforementioned pathways have been paved to be more accessible to the practitioners Agenda for Peace “, which will enhance visitors’ flock to the picturesque nature of those trails, such as the Tibetan tree and the eye of the tip.
The geographical diversity of Dhofar Governorate makes it a fertile environment filled with opportunities and attractions for adventure tourism, where walking or mountain walking teams operate on more than 40 known mountain trails in the governorate, because of their caves and watercourses.
