The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in the South Al Batinah Governorate launched today at its headquarters in Rustaq the third edition of the Chamber’s Award for Excellence, Innovation, and Sustainability, under the patronage of His Excellency Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This year’s third edition of the award has expanded its scope to include, for the first time, tourism companies alongside industrial companies and small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as student companies from higher education institutions and public schools administratively affiliated with the governorate.
Engineer Hamoud bin Salem Al Saadi, the second vice-chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the chamber’s branch in South Al Batinah, confirmed that the award continues its successful journey after achieving wide engagement from institutions and companies in previous editions. He stated that the award aims to create a positive competitive environment that supports the growth of the private sector in the governorate, expands the scope of participation, and attracts a larger number of various targeted categories, thereby enhancing innovation and improving performance in the business environment.
This award is part of the efforts of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support the private sector and encourage excellence and innovation across various economic sectors, to enhance opportunities for development, growth, and sustainable development in South Al Batinah Governorate.
It is worth noting that the award process includes receiving participation applications, sorting them according to specified criteria, before referring them to evaluation committees comprising specialists from various public and private sector entities, in line with the principles of integrity and transparency. The evaluation process includes field visits and direct meetings with participants to review projects and ensure they meet the established criteria.
