Data released today revealed that South Korea’s exports of automotive parts to the United States reached a record high last year.
According to the South Korean news agency “Yonhap,” the total exports of automotive parts to the United States amounted to $8.22 billion in 2024, up from $8.08 billion the previous year.
Data collected by the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association showed a steady increase from $6.91 billion in 2021 and $8.03 billion in 2022.
It was noted that in 2024, exports to the United States accounted for 36.5% of South Korea’s total automotive parts exports, which were valued at $22.55 billion. Additionally, South Korea’s total car exports reached $70.78 billion last year, with exports to the United States making up 49.1% of the total.
