Japanese stock indices declined at the end of the morning trading session on the Tokyo Stock Exchange today.
The Nikkei index, which comprises 225 stocks, lost 40.06 points, or 0.10%, closing at 38,746.96 points at the end of the morning session.
Additionally, the broader Topix index fell by 7.41 points, or 0.27%, to reach 2,729.82 points.
