The Supreme Judiciary Council today held its third meeting of the year (2025) under the chairmanship of Sayyid Mohammed Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council.
The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda in accordance with the Council’s mandate to supervise courts, judges and the Public Prosecution Department. The overall aim is to improve the quality of judicial services and develop the digital infrastructure of the judicial sector to help support the implementation of prompt justice and enhance transparency.
The meeting also dealt with decisions related to administrative and functional affairs of the Supreme Judiciary Council. It reviewed the organizational structure of the Supreme Judiciary Council after His Majesty the Sultan approved the same.
The meeting endorsed mechanisms related to the implementation of tasks cited in the organizational structure, as well as the Royal directives in this regard. It also reviewed topics related to the development of laws and legislation related to the Council’s course of action.
