Acting in cooperation with Reema Integrated Projects Foundation, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) is organizing a 2-day symposium on empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and addressing their common challenges.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Badr Salim Al Maamari, Secretary General of the Tender Board.

The symposium deals with major challenges posed to SMEs in the local market. It addresses the roles of financing firms and local content programmes in supporting the growth of SMEs. It also looks into ways of enhancing cooperation among stakeholders to support SMEs and develop solutions to overcome the challenges facing them.
An exhibition for entrepreneurs is being held on the sidelines of the symposium to showcase SME products and services. The exhibition seeks to highlight the talents of entrepreneurs, open up new marketing channels for SMEs, expand opportunities for SMEs to reach new beneficiaries and partners and cement communication among entrepreneurs, supporting bodies and investors.
