Muscat:
His Excellency Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, the Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
During the call, Secretary Blinken expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of Oman on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s ascension to the throne.
The discussion also covered a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, with an emphasis on ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability in the region. Both ministers highlighted the significance of dialogue and international cooperation in addressing shared challenges.
During the call, His Excellency Al Busaidi conveyed his condolences to the government and people of the United States for the recent wildfires in California, acknowledging the substantial efforts by U.S. authorities to contain the disaster and mitigate its impact on residents and properties.
The two officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding U.S.-Oman partnership, fostering cooperation across various fields, and coordinating efforts to promote peace and stability at regional and international levels.
