Bank Muscat Officially Celebrates Winning the Best Place to Work Award 2024

Muscat,

Bank Muscat, Oman’s leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, has officially celebrated winning the “Best Place to Work” Award for 2024, presented by the prestigious “Best Places to Work” Institution, a globally recognized body based in the UK. To mark the occasion, a representative from the Institution visited the Bank’s Head Office in Airport Heights, where Said bin Salim Al Aufi, General Manager of Human Resources & Administration at Bank Muscat, received the trophy on behalf of the Bank, in the presence of the Bank’s officials and employees. This international award is a testament to the Bank’s pioneering efforts in developing human resources and fostering a model work environment

In May 2024, Bank Muscat announced this accolade in this global competition, based on a survey measuring organizational culture and employee satisfaction, along with a comprehensive evaluation of human resources policies and practices. The Bank received high ratings across several indicators, which qualified it for the award. This accolade honours distinguished international institutions that play a key role in continuously improving the work environment, enhancing employee experience, and providing exemplary workplaces. The achievement highlights the success of the strategies and plans Bank Muscat has implemented in human resources development.

On this special occasion, Said bin Salim Al Aufi, General Manager of Human Resources & Administration at Bank Muscat, warmly welcomed the visiting delegate and expressed his pride in receiving the international award and being recognized by a specialized global institution. He emphasized that this achievement reinforces the Bank’s leadership in human resource development and its commitment to creating a work environment that aligns with international standards. Al Aufi further noted that this recognition reflects the Bank’s dedication to developing human resources and viewing employees as integral partners in the Bank’s progress, success, and continuous growth. He also highlighted the Bank’s commitment to promoting transparency, governance, and workplace values, emphasising that the success of this award underscores the Bank’s commitment to empowering employees, supporting their growth, and nurturing their skills and potential. The General Manager of Human Resources and Administration extended his gratitude to the officials at the “Best Places to Work” for this prestigious award, recognizing the responsibility to maintain a model, innovative work environment that enables employees to achieve common goals.

In recent years, Bank Muscat has fostered an exemplary work environment by enhancing the skills, experience, and competencies of its employees, equipping them with the tools necessary for significant career growth. This commitment is reflected in their high level of customer service and the provision of top-notch banking solutions. The Bank has also formulated a strategic plan and implemented thoughtful policies aimed at achieving success in human resources development, while creating new opportunities for Omani youth. This initiative aims to cultivate a culture of continuous learning that showcases their talents and skills in the workplace.

The Bank is dedicated to organizing a variety of events, such as the annual Leadership Forum, staff open days, and sports activities. These events are designed to engage employees in promoting the foundational values of the bank and provide a platform for exchanging ideas and insights that contribute to business development.

Moreover, Bank Muscat honours employees with over 20 years of service, acknowledging their vital role in the Bank’s success and growth, which reflects its commitment to human resources development. The Bank also conducts internal awareness campaigns throughout the year to improve understanding of customer service principles, raise awareness about electronic fraud, and promote professional conduct and workplace ethics.

In terms of social responsibility and community service, the Bank actively encourages employee participation in initiatives such as blood donation drives, volunteering opportunities, and financial inclusion efforts. This includes organizing educational camps for employees’ children to introduce them to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and its management. In the realm of innovation, the Bank hosts the Ibdaa Festival, celebrating innovation and motivating employees to engage positively and think creatively.
