Bank Muscat Celebrates Glorious National Day Amid Achievements in Supporting National Economy and Goals of Oman Vision 2040

In celebration of the 54th National Day of the Sultanate of Oman, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the country, hosted a series of events at its Airport Heights headquarters. The celebration was graced by the attendance of Sheikh Waleed bin Khamis Al Hashar, Chief Executive Officer of Bank Muscat, along with members of the executive management team and employees.

The event featured a number of activities which captivated the Bank employees and guests with its selection of musical pieces. It dedicated sections displaying Omani clothing from various governorates as well as offering both traditional Omani and international cuisines. The event fostered a sense of pride in Oman’s achievements, resonating with employees and visitors alike.

As part of the celebration, Bank Muscat also launched a patriotic song titled “Dari Oman”, meaning “Oman is my homeland”.  Embracing a national heritage theme, the song reflects the profound connection between Omanis and their homeland, blending traditional melodies to create a piece well-received by the audience. This national tribute has been shared across traditional media, digital platforms, and social networks.

Bank Muscat takes pride in its role as a pillar of Oman’s economic and social development. With a legacy of achievements, the Bank reaffirms its leadership within the Omani banking sector and its commitment to sustainable development in alignment with Oman Vision 2040. The Bank has actively supported national economic progress by providing financing to various sectors, contributing to financial inclusion through a network of 186 branches and service centers (Bank Muscat & Meethaq Islamic Banking), and deploying nearly 900 self-service devices nationwide, including ATMs, cash deposit machines, and multifunctional devices. The Bank is committed to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and adopting innovative banking strategies aligned with the digital age.

As a cornerstone of its mission, Bank Muscat continually enhances the customer experience, offering services tailored to the needs of both individuals and corporates. In pursuit of excellence, the Bank has launched initiatives to strengthen customer relationships and engage communities across Oman’s governorates. These initiatives include seminars to raise awareness of digital banking services and events for government and corporate customers to foster dialogue on enhancing their banking experience.

Bank Muscat also champions the development of Omani talent, fostering a work environment that supports national competencies. The Bank prioritizes the recruitment and training of Omanis, in alignment with the Omani government’s vision for employment. With over 4,000 employees and 93% Omanisation rate, the Bank has achieved more than 315 job opportunities from the beginning of this year until end of September alone, spanning various branches and departments. Through the Jadara Academy, the Bank invests in comprehensive training courses to enhance employees’ technical and managerial skills, adapting to technological advancements and evolving customer needs. The Bank also nurtures future leaders through targeted programmes for high-potential employees, including the “Eagles,” High Potential Graduate Development, First Time Managers, and Branch Managers training programmes.
