Represented by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the Sultanate of Oman today participated in meetings of the 49th session of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Institute for Training and Research, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Oman’s delegation was represented by Dr. Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Barwani, CEO of the NCSI for Statistics and Information.
The meetings discussed the institute’s budget and its programme of future activities during 2025 and 2026. It also looked into initiatives made by partner organizations and ways of to upgrade cooperation when organizing joint activities.
Al Barwani is also headed Oman’s delegation taking part in meetings of the Statistical Committee of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), being held in Manama and will last for two days.
The meetings deals with statistical action in the Arab region, the outcome of the 55th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC) and chances for the endorsement of recommendations made by the Statistical Commission at its 16th session.
