The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan dealing with encouraging economic and investment development between the two sides.
The MoU was signed by Eng. Ahmed Hassan Al Dheeb, Deputy Chairman of OPAZ and Nayef Hameidi Al Fayez, Chief Commissioner of Aqaba Special Economic Zone.
Further, the MoU covers a number of economic fields of mutual interest, notably attracting investments to the special economic zones and exchanging know-how and expertise in matters related to laws, regulations and bylaws of managing, operating and developing special economic zones.
On the sidelines of signing the MoU, Nayef Hameidi Al Fayez, Chief Commissioner of Aqaba Special Economic Zone and his accompanying delegation toured prominent projects in Duqm. These projects include Duqm Port, the Dry Dock and Karwa Motors factory.
