The number of visitors to the Sultanate of Oman till the end of July 2024 reached 2.3 million, constituting a rise by 2.4% compared to the corresponding period in 2023, according to the tourism indicators report issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
In July 2024 as many as 371,394 visitors arrived to the country, comprising a decline by 1.3% compared to 376,376 visitors during July 2023.
GCC visitors constituted 56% of the total number of visitors during July 2024 (208,485 visitors), followed by Asian visitors who reached 89,007. Arab visitors stood at 48,221, while the number of Europeans stood at 13,379.
Moreover, the number of visitors from other areas stood as follows: 6,092 from Africa, 5,271 from the two American continents and 939 from Oceania.
On the other hand, the revenues of 3-5 star hotels till the end of July 2024 reached RO 132.3 million, comprising a rise by 7.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Revenues of rooms went up by 8.3% to stand at RO 76.6 million, while other revenues increased by 7.3% to stand at RO 55.7 million.
The number of guests at hotels till the end of July 2024 rose by 9.3% to stand at 1,204,426.
Occupancy rate reached 46.7% by the end of July 2024.
