Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, through its Sanad Service Centres Department, has issued a stern warning to unlicensed establishments found to be illegally using the identity and trademark components of Sanad Service Centres in their commercial operations.
This unauthorised use has reportedly led to confusion among consumers and constitutes a breach of the Trademark Law currently enforced in the Sultanate of Oman. According to the law, the owner of a registered trademark is entitled to prevent others from using it without obtaining the necessary licence.
The Ministry has called on all establishments engaging in this practice to immediately correct their status to avoid facing legal consequences. The Ministry stressed that non-compliance from the date of this announcement will result in legal action being taken against the offending businesses.
