Ministry speeds up housing projects

KUWAIT: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Mishari stressed on Tuesday the importance of combining all efforts to accelerate the mechanism of implementing housing projects and launching new ones in commitment to providing houses care for citizens. Al-Mishari said after meeting with leaders of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare that the work plans that the Authority will follow the directives from the political leadership through combining efforts with relevant government agencies to accelerate the pace of completion and implementation of existing projects.

He stressed the need to develop a work plan that meets the needs of citizens with existing housing requests so that it can be implemented according to the aspirations and directives of the political leadership, which contributes to achieving the country’s development plan and its goals. He pointed out the importance of coordination with relevant agencies to quickly complete all required services in new cities. He praised the efforts made by the employees to develop the transaction system and convert a large part of it into digital services that facilitated citizens’ implementation through the government’s (Sahel) application.

Electricity supply

Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare announced on Tuesday the completion of supplying electricity to 1,018 residential plots in the two suburbs (N5 and N12) in Al-Mutlaa City, representing 23 percent of the number of plots in the two suburbs. The Housing Authority said in a press statement that the mentioned plots are the first group of plots for the two suburbs within the Corporation’s contract for the supply and extension of medium and low voltage cables.

The plots that have been connected to electricity are distributed between 544 plots in the suburb (N12) and 474 plots in the suburb (N5) in coordination with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. The Corporation has completed the excavation, extension, and connection of the cables for these plots, while the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy has completed the inspection of the cables. — KUNA
