Muscat – Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has launched ‘Future Leaders Programme’ to develop leadership skills of young Omani professionals from various sectors. The programme, which began on Saturday, is being conducted in collaboration with Hamad bin Khalifa University, GLOBIS Europe, Matterz Business Group and KAOSPILOT.
The programme aligns with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s vision, as outlined in Oman Vision 2040, to equip the nation’s current and future leaders with the skills needed to make meaningful contributions within their organisations and the country.
The six-month programme is a significant step towards empowering the next generation of leaders in Oman. It aims to inspire innovation within institutions and prepare participants to navigate rapidly changing environments in both the public and private sectors.
The programme includes three in-person modules and three talent labs, beginning with a module called ‘Discover’, which will focus on enhancing leadership skills, strategic thinking and work ethics. This will be followed by ‘Foresee’, where participants explore successful international practices and rapid technological changes. The final module – ‘Pioneer’ – will emphasise leadership in the workplace, influence and a results-oriented mindset.
Participants will also visit Japan to engage with educational and entrepreneurial institutions and interact with Japanese leaders. The visit will cover topics such as technological advancements, change management, and fostering creativity and innovation in the workplace. This experience is designed to broaden participants’ global perspectives and immerse them in diverse cultures and practices.
Dr Fathiya al Rashdi, Vice-President for Programme Affairs at RAM, stated, “The Future Leaders Programme embodies our vision of developing young national leaders capable of innovation and positively impacting their communities. Empowering today’s youth is an investment in Oman’s bright future.”
She added that the programme is part of the academy’s broader efforts to create a comprehensive system of executive education that aligns with national requirements and global trends.
The programme targets 50 young Omani professionals aged 25 to 34 from both public and private sectors, including those from small and medium-sized enterprises, startups and freelancers. It will offer a comprehensive learning experience, including intensive sessions, interactive workshops and practical training that addresses real-world challenges.
