Riyadh,
As the new school year begins, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture is urging students and their families to adopt environment-friendly practices, emphasizing the importance of preserving the environment for a healthier society and achieving the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative.
Students are encouraged to adopt positive behaviors vis-à-vis the environment, both at school and outside, such as conserving water, maintaining greenery, and properly disposing of waste. Families are also urged to educate their children about sustainability and encourage them to participate in community clean-up and afforestation efforts.
The ministry stressed the importance of compliance with environmental regulations and warned of penalties for violations.
Residents, said the ministry, are encouraged to report on environmental damage by calling 939.
