
Muscat – The Muscat Municipality has been awarded the Best Application for Statistical Quality Research at the Third Forum of the National System for Institutional Innovation and Change Management. The event, held at the St. Regis Al Mouj Hotel, was organised by the Ministry of Labour as part of Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to enhance government performance and service quality.
Nouf Sulaiman Al-Kindi, a statistical researcher from the General Directorate of Planning and Investment, spearheaded the winning project. By employing the DMAIC methodology, Al-Kindi improved task completion rates and reduced errors within the Marketing and Investor Relations Department.
Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Humaidi, President of Muscat Municipality, praised the award as a reflection of the municipality’s commitment to Oman Vision 2040 and its dedication to high-quality service. Al-Kindi noted that the successful implementation of the DMAIC methodology has led to sustainable improvements and increased administrative efficiency.
The National System for Institutional Innovation and Change Management fosters the exchange of best practices and research to boost government performance. Muscat Municipality’s accolade highlights its role as a leader in innovation and quality in public administration.
