Muscat,
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion announced the introduction of new improvements and facilitation measures for several services provided to investors and businessmen through the Oman Business Platform. This initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to simplify, streamline, and expedite business transactions by redeveloping procedures and reducing necessary requirements.
These improvements aim to simplify business sector services that are related to commercial activities, saving time and effort for investors and business owners. This allows the beneficiaries to complete their transactions more quickly and efficiently, while also enhancing the business environment in Oman and attracting more local and foreign investments.
The improvements include services such as commercial registration, updating commercial registry information, and transferring ownership of the commercial registry. Additionally, enhancements have been made to licensing applications and the registration of companies under the Foreign Capital Investment Law. These updates include streamlining procedures and reducing required conditions, which contribute to a better user experience and faster and more effective transaction processing. Ultimately, this supports the investment environment in Oman and attracts additional investments.
The ministry confirms its ongoing commitment to assessing and improving the services provided based on investors’ feedback and needs, with the aim of providing an integrated and easy experience that supports economic growth and contributes to achieving sustainable development.
It is noteworthy that the number of transactions completed through the Oman Business Platform reached 487,300 during the first half of 2024.
