The number of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate grew to 9,912 enterprises, among them 1,783 enterprises are holders of “Riyada” entrepreneurship card. Most of the SMEs in this governorate operate in the fields of tourism, agriculture, mining and technology.
Salim Ali Al Hajri, Director of the SMEs Development Department in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate, affirmed the number of SMEs in the governorate saw steady growth over the past three years.
As many as 995 artisans in the governorate benefited from public support, which included the supply of equipment and raw materials or the restoration of business sites during the year 2023-2024, said Al Hajri.
He pointed out that young entrepreneurs in the governorate have a passion for entrepreneurship, notably in promising aspects of their parts of the governorate.
