Bank Muscat Launches Online Easy Payment Plan

MUSCAT,

Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, has announced the launch of online Easy Payment Plan (EPP) which provides the option to pay in installment for online shopping through integration with Bank Muscat’s Payment Gateway System. The Easy Payment plan facilitates affordable purchases of products and services with interest free repayment installments of up to 12 months using Bank Muscat Credit Cards. It is noteworthy that Sharaf DG is the Bank’s first merchant partner under the Online EPP plan service.

Customers can benefit from the new payment plan by visiting the merchant website and adding to the cart the items they would like to purchase. They can then use Bank Muscat’s credit card to complete their purchase by selecting Installment Payment Plan on the online payment gateway. The credit card limit will be reduced by the purchase amount. The minimum purchasing value using this service is RO 100 and is applicable to all active Bank Muscat credit cards.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdullah Hamood Al Jufaili, Assistant General Manager – Digital Banking, Bank Muscat, said: “In line with the bank’s customer-centric vision to provide excellent financing facilities, Bank Muscat’s online Easy Payment Plan will allow customers to avail goods and services and pay conveniently over a period of 12 months without interest. The Bank is planning to enhance the list of merchant partners who provide this service in the coming period. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our valued customers for their continuous trust in the services and products which are designed to enhance their banking experience.”

Bank Muscat confirms its keenness to enhance secure digital payments through developing various payment options to meet customers’ needs and aspirations. The Bank’s credit cards are a preferred mode of payment in Oman, and the online EPP scheme reiterates the bank’s commitment to promoting secure digital payments in Oman. These credit cards witness great turn out and their state-of-the-arts features enhance digital payment solutions to complete different types of transactions from anywhere, safely.
