(ONA) — The Office of the State Council reviewed a number of studies and proposals submitted by the Council’s standing committees. The discussions took place today at the Council’s 5th meeting during its first convening in the 8th Term.
The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council.
During the meeting, the office discussed two proposals submitted by the Social and Cultural Committee. The first proposal dealt with the panel’s keenness to explore means of enhancing the financial sustainability of civil society institutions. The second study discussed means of maximizing society’s gains from cultural edifices and their activities.
The State Council’s Office also discussed two more proposals: The first was titled “Mastering competencies and skills gained from school education in the Sultanate of Oman” and the second elaborated on the issues of digital economy and data governance.
Later, the State Council’s Office reviewed the State Audit Institution (SAI)’s annual report (2023), the reply of the Council of Ministers about a number of studies submitted recently by the State Council, and reports filed by State Council members about their participation in regional and international forums.
