A student company from “Abu’Darda School” in the Wilayat of Ibri, A’Dhahirah Governorate, managed to produce commercially viable products from mesquite trees.
The company made efforts to introduce the timber as high-quality industrial products, reflecting the Education Ministry’s keenness to support student endeavours in the field of entrepreneurship.
Codenamed “Salaba” (solidity), the student firm extracts solid wood from mesquite tree and markets it as high-quality planks for wooden flooring. The company’s end-products are environment-friendly, pest-resistant and easy to dismantle and install. The products also serve as good insulators against heat and moisture.
