Dr. Hischam El Agamy, Executive Director of Institute for Management Development (IMD), said that artificial intelligence (AI ) has democratised technology by providing an opportunity to connect with the world and keep up with rapid and multifaceted developments.
“We have a historic opportunity in the Arab countries to catch up with developed countries through artificial intelligence. Technology has become more accessible to people around the world, and the World Governments Summit offers a variety of different experiences,” El Agamy told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the second day of the World Governments Summit (WGS) in Dubai.
He urged Arab countries to integrate AI into their education systems, starting in early childhood, in order to personalise learning journeys, improve teaching efficiency, and enhance accessibility for all students, thereby preparing them for the AI-driven world.
He stated that despite the fears of artificial intelligence, there are new opportunities and possibilities. He pointed out that if artificial intelligence is used correctly, it will reduce the gap between developing and developed countries.
He pointed out that the World Governments Summit brings together participants with different challenges and solutions, which enhances cooperation and provides a clear vision for the future.
