(WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, attended the graduation ceremony of more than 200 students from Ajman University’s “Class of 2024”.
The event, which took place today at the Sheikh Zayed Centre for Conferences and Exhibitions on the university’s campus, celebrated the success and graduation of the students.
Sheikh Humaid commended the remarkable standards of the higher education system of the UAE and the country’s cultural renaissance across various domains, especially in education and science. These strides, he explained, were only possible thanks to the support provided by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Their unwavering support for the journey of education and its institutions reflects their absolute belief that knowledge is a key driver of progress and development, he added.
“Higher education is an invaluable treasure and a genuine investment in human capital. It enhances the glowing image of the UAE, renowned for its developmental and educational renaissance, and contributes to the advancement of intellectual, scientific, economic, cultural, and social movements both regionally and internationally,” Sheikh Humaid said.
The ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of Ajman Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Vice Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees; Sheikh Hamid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi, and Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment and Member of the University’s Board of Trustees. It was also attended by government officials, college deans, professors, parents of graduating students, and the university’s guests.
The Ruler of Ajman presented the university’s shield to Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, while Sheikh Ammar presented a similar shield to Sheikh Humaid.
Sheikh Humaid, accompanied by Sheikh Ammar, honoured the graduates and top achievers from the university’s colleges.
