(BNA): His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak, Special Representative of HM the King, received Heads of the Gulf Press Associations, on the occasion of holding their meeting in Bahrain and assigning the kingdom as the permanent headquarters for the Gulf Press Union.
Nabil bin Yacoub Al Hamar, Advisor to HM King for Media Affairs, and Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, were present.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed congratulated the union on this important step in the development of Gulf journalism.
He commended the Gulf press associations for their contributions to developing Gulf journalism, highlighting Gulf issues on various media platforms, strengthening Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) relations and supporting their growth.
Khalid bin Hamad Al Malik, Chairman of the Saudi Journalists Association and Chief of the Gulf Press Union; Fahad Mohammed Al Mutairi, Media Advisor to the Secretary-General of the GCC; Isa Al Shaiji, Chairman of the Bahraini Journalists Association and Secretary-General of the Gulf Press Union; Adnan Al Rashed, Chairman of the Kuwait Journalists Association; Mohammed Al Hammadi, Chairman of the UAE Journalists Association; Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Araimi, Chairman of the Oman Journalists Association; and Saad bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, President of the Qatar Press Centre, attended the meeting.
