The Ministry of Industry in Baghdad announced the criteria for granting licenses to small projects, indicating that more than 1200 approvals have been issued until the beginning of November.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Dhaa Al-Jubouri, told the Iraqi News Agency (WAA): “The criteria adopted by the ministry for granting licenses to small projects include the applicant being an Iraqi national, aged 18 or older, not employed by the state, and a graduate of colleges, institutes, or vocational schools.”
She noted that “the ministry has granted preliminary approvals for 1243 projects until the beginning of November of the current year.”
Furthermore, she emphasized that “the economic feasibility contributes to encouraging the private industrial sector and local products to meet the needs of the Iraqi market and promote local products instead of imports.”
