The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has secured the top spot globally in the 2023 Project Management Excellence Award, specifically in the category of social projects. The distinguished project that earned this accolade is the “National Volunteering Platform.”
The National Volunteering Platform serves as a nurturing environment for volunteering work in the Kingdom, providing a safe and stimulating space for both providers of volunteering opportunities and volunteers. Through its diverse services, the platform has successfully connected with over 645,000 volunteers, offering more than 363,000 volunteering opportunities. The platform boasts a registration of over 1.7 million individuals and has benefitted more than 4,870 entities.
This triumph stands as a testament to the ministry’s dedication to project management. It had previously achieved a prominent position in the first category for the assessment of performance management practices in government agencies. Furthermore, the ministry attained the fourth level in the evaluation of maturity in the areas of project and program management.
