The second edition of the “Black Hat” event will be hosted in Riyadh at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (Riyadh Front) from November 14 to 16, 2023. The event is organized by the Saudi Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones Union in collaboration with the “Tahaluf” company, under the theme “Developments in the Cybersecurity Sector.” It will feature the presence of prominent global cybersecurity leaders, experts, researchers, and enthusiasts.
The event will witness the participation of over 300 exhibitors, more than 300 speakers, over 80 investors, and more than 50 certified trainers. Additionally, it will host 120 technical workshops, introducing various new elements in its second edition, including the Executive Summit, Arsenal, Business Hall, Technical Workshops Area, and Training Courses. The Cyber Seed Competition for startups is making a return, and new platforms like the Deep Dive Theater, Black Hat Campus, and the Cybersecurity Information Security Officer Club are introduced this year.
The event’s exhibition area will host various cybersecurity challenges, including “Capture the Flag,” medical device hacking, bug bounty challenges, drone hacking, lockpicking, smart city penetration, electronic chips, and escape room challenges.

Faisal Al-Khmeesi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones Union, expressed his delight in hosting the second edition of the event, stating, “Black Hat is a unique opportunity for all cybersecurity enthusiasts and professionals. It represents the largest and most attended cybersecurity event in the region.” He added, “This year, we have worked to offer an exceptional edition following the great success of the previous one. We will introduce several new features, such as the Deep Dive Theater, Black Hat Campus, and the Information Security Officer Club, among other activities.”
It is worth noting that “Black Hat” is a specialized global cybersecurity event that began in 1997. It is one of the most significant global platforms for the information security sector and a hub for enthusiasts. The event initially started as an annual gathering in Las Vegas before expanding to various countries worldwide. Saudi Arabia is hosting it for the second consecutive year after the tremendous success of the previous edition.
