SPA — Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, inaugurated on Monday the Digital Universities MENA 2023 event, organized by Prince Sultan University (PSU) in cooperation with Times Higher Education.
Prince Faisal bin Bandar, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Riyadh Philanthropic Society for Science (RPSS), attended the opening of the conference and watched a video about the digital transformation journey of the university.
Digital Universities MENA recognized both sponsors and winners of the hackathon held as part of the event.
The event, scheduled until October 11, is dedicated to exploring avenues for attaining sustainable digital transformation in higher education across the Middle East and North Africa region.
It involves a deep dive into the latest innovations and technological trends in higher education, along with an examination of successful practices in campus development and teaching methodologies.
Furthermore, the event serves as a platform for experts from around the world to exchange their expertise and knowledge.
More than 30 panel discussions and specialized dialogue sessions on various aspects of higher education development are held during the event.
Over 70 regional and global experts and leading figures in the higher education sector are participating in Digital Universities MENA alongside more than 300 attendees from all around the world.
Minister of Education, Yousef Al-Benyan; President of PSU, Ahmed Al-Yamani; and Chairman of the PSU Board of Trustees, Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, received Prince Faisal bin Bandar upon arrival.
During his address on this occasion, the Governor of the Riyadh region emphasized that the diligent oversight and support extended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed have propelled the university forward, ensuring steady progress toward its envisioned academic objectives.
