Bank Muscat is participating for the 7th consecutive year to support the Fak Kurba initiative and has helped secure the release of 1557 cases till date. It must be noted that none of these cases relate to payments involving banks or financing institutions in the Sultanate.

The Fak Kurba initiative is implemented through the voluntary efforts of the Omani Lawyers Association. The initiative has contributed to resolving many cases and succeeded in bringing joy and happiness to many Omani families.  It aims to enhance awareness of the importance of community bonding and it is working since its start to transform this initiative into a sustainable project that runs throughout the year.

On this occasion, Dr. Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Al-Zadjali, Chairman of the Oman Lawyers Association, said: “The 11th edition of the Fak Kurba initiative is a continuation of the positive results it has been achieving since its launch in 2012. Throughout these years, the initiative contributed to the release of more than 5890 cases. We are pleased with the continuous support given to the initiative from individuals and institutions, reflecting the strength of cooperation in society. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my appreciation to all contributors for their partnership with the Association to ensure the success of this initiative. I would like as well to thank Bank Muscat for its partnership and contribution to make this initiative a success.”

Taya Eid Bait Sabeea, Deputy General Manager – Interior Regions, Bank Muscat, said: “We are pleased to continue our partnership with Oman Lawyers Association to support the Fak Kurba initiative, which renews its commitment each year to extend a helping hand to deserving beneficiaries, thereby supporting them to lead normal lives. The Bank is keen to support such initiatives and programmes, for the greater good of the community and to sustain the positive results achieved along these years. Enhancing partnership between various institutions in public and private sectors is also one of main areas we focus on. We wish all success to this initiative and the Oman Lawyers Association.”
