The total funded projects through the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Lending Portfolio, known as ‘Al Azm,’ reached 244 projects by the end of February 2024, with a total value of OMR 24,064,510.
Industrial, commercial, and service projects led the funded initiatives with a total of 161 projects, followed by contract-related projects with 44 initiatives. The Contract Financing Program supports contracts (tenders or purchases) based on the issuance of financing decisions upon receiving a work assignment letter from the assigned entity.
Capital Working Capital Financing projects ranked third with a total of 29 projects. The Working Capital Financing Program covers daily operational expenses, including purchasing raw materials, semi-finished goods, merchandise, inventory, spare parts, salaries, wages, transportation expenses, and other costs. This program aims to ensure the continuity of the production process from the purchase of raw materials to the sale of the products.
