State of Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah received today at the Seif Palace the Saudi Minister of Media, Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary, and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides emphasized their deep strategic, fraternal, and historical ties that reflect the special status and attention given by the leaderships of the two brotherly countries.
Al-Dossary also met with Minister of Information and Culture Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al-Mutairi. They discussed topics of common interest and reviewed ways to enhance cooperation in the media field. The focus was on developing and supporting media cadres and exploring areas for exchanging experiences.
Al-Dossary met with Kuwaiti media figures from various sectors and held an open meeting.
In the presence of the two ministers, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that enhances cooperation in the professional news field and promotes information exchange.
SPA President Dr. Fahd bin Hassan Al-Aqran and KUNA Director General and Chair of the Board of Directors Dr. Fatma Al-Salem signed the MoU, which aims to develop cooperation in news exchange, contributing to greater mutual understanding between the two countries.
SPA has signed over 30 agreements in the field of news cooperation, reflecting its commitment to enhancing news work and expanding partnerships with Gulf, Arab, and international news agencies.
Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid and several officials attended the meeting.
