Bank Muscat Celebrates EAGLEs Programme Success in Training Branch employees and Unveils the 2nd edition

MUSCAT,

Bank Muscat, the leading financial service provider in the Sultanate of Oman and the winner of the Best Place To Work Award 2024, recently celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the EAGLEs programme, aimed at providing employees a unique platform to engage with the Bank’s Leadership and hone their skills. Launched last year, 70 employees from different branches covering all regions across the Sultanate, participated in various projects designed to help them gain new skills and experiences and use them wisely to enhance customer experience.

During the ceremony, the Bank also announced the launch of the second edition of EAGLEs scheduled during the second quarter of 2025. To ensure ongoing development of employees, the new batch is specifically designed to allow more employees to develop their capabilities, improve their performance, enhance creativity and enable them to develop their leadership skills.

During his opening speech, Ahmed Faqir Al Bulushi, Deputy CEO – Banking, Bank Muscat, said: “The launch of EAGLEs program serves as a suitable platform for communication, fostering values of Engagement, Alignment, Growth, Learning and Evolvement. This program is designed to contribute in achieving the Bank’s vision “To Serve You Better, Everyday” by fostering a strong institutional culture that supports the values of creativity and collaboration and encourages each one of us to pursue very high customer service standards in serving our valued customers. Investing in such programs is a key element for the success of any organization. They serve as effective platforms enabling participants to share ideas, embrace transparency and learn from one another. I would like to thank all participants for their contributions and wish them all the best in their careers.”

Abdulnasir Al Raisi, General Manager – Personal Banking, Bank Muscat, said: “Supporting employees is one of the fundamental pillars that Bank Muscat is committed to upholding and providing an environment that fosters growth and development is a collective responsibility. Investing in training programmes not only enhances our individual opportunities but also contributes to building a strong and sustainable economy. Teamwork is a cornerstone upon which we build our vision and values. By sharing knowledge and ideas, we harness collective strength, empowering ourselves to overcome obstacles and achieve our common goals.”

A number of participants in the first batch of EAGLEs expressed their happiness to join the programme. Manar Arif Al Balushi, from Treasuery & Capital Market Department, said: “During the programme, all resources were available to support the learning journey of all participants. The topics we covered were both enriching and beneficial, for example, the design thinking workshop helped us enhance our perspectives based on our daily lives, enabling us to find solutions to overcome challenges through innovative thinking. I have participated in several training programmes at the Bank and EAGLEs played a significant role. There was substantial support and engaging discussions during the various workshops, along with ongoing follow-up to listen to employee feedback and work on improvements. These programs empower us to develop ourselves and those around us.”

Salim Shames Al Hajri, from Bidiya Branch – North Sharqiya, said: “EAGLEs is a great initiative launched by the Management to reinforce values of participation, learning and development. This programme enabled us to explore topics like project management and understand the challenges we face. It also fostered a connection with management, providing insights into global banking and the Bank’s future vision. During the course of the programme, my perspective on customer service has changed as there is a growing importance of meeting customer needs. The Bank’s training programs open new opportunities for employees, introducing concepts that support their growth and development within the organization.”

On her part, Mahra Abdulrahman Al Zadjali, from Liwa Branch – North Batinah, added: “Participating in EAGLEs programme was transformative, helping us tackle challenges and generate new ideas. Managing a team taught me the importance of initiative. The programme fostered direct communication with the Bank’s management, allowing us to share and refine our ideas. My experience in various training programmes introduced by the Bank has been enriching, helping us discover our strengths and motivating us to continually develop our careers.”
