“Oman and Zanzibar Strengthen Bilateral Ties: Focus on Economic, Cultural, and Health Cooperation”
Muscat,
Participants in the 2nd Arab Forum for Tourism Statistics 2024 advised Arab countries to keep pace with modern trends in the production of tourism statistics.
The forum recommended the use of modern technologies, like large data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, to enhance the accuracy and speed of producing tourism indicators, thus maximizing gains from administrative records in various government departments.
The conference was organized today by the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
It was held in cooperation with the Secretariat General of the Arab League and the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.
The forum explored two areas: “international experiences in the fields of using non-traditional tourism data sources” and “Arab experiences in the fields of producing tourism statistics.”
