(QNA) – HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani performed Eid Al Adha prayer along with a group of loyal citizens at Lusail praying area this morning.
Also performing the prayer were HH Personal Representative of HH the Amir, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani; HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani; HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani; HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem, and a number of Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, members of the Shura Council, and a number of Their Excellencies ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in the country.
His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Thaqeel bin Sayer Al Shammari, who is a judge of the Court of Cassation and Supreme Judiciary Council member, led the prayer and delivered the Eid sermon in which he explained that Eid Al Adha is a sacred observance of God, manifesting the grandeur of faith and the unity among Muslims. He also emphasized the importance of giving, generosity, righteousness, and fidelity on this magnificent day, highlighting the significant rulings regarding the sacrificial offering in Islam, urging the devotion of worship solely to God and the intention of drawing closer to Allah through this rite.
His Eminence also urged the purification of souls, the mending of hearts, the strengthening of familial bonds, and the enhancement of fraternal ties within the community. He reminded the faithful of the obligation to obey the leaders, to pray for them, and to adhere to the Muslim congregation. (QNA)
