“Oman and Zanzibar Strengthen Bilateral Ties: Focus on Economic, Cultural, and Health Cooperation”
In accordance with the noble directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said the provision of job security benefits for citizens who have ended their services in the private sector has been extended until the end of December 2023. To ensure the continuity of benefit disbursement and the utilization of associated facilities, the Public Authority for Social Insurance has emphasized that those eligible for job security benefits, who have completed a minimum of six months of entitlement, must update their data.
The authority has stated that the request to update data is part of its continuous efforts to ensure the accuracy of beneficiary data and their continued fulfillment of eligibility requirements. It also confirms that the updating process is available to all beneficiaries through the electronic system dedicated to job security benefits, starting from today until July 20, 2023. This can be done by following the following steps:
- Log into the electronic portal of the Public Authority for Social Insurance via the PKI electronic authentication system.
- Select the job security system.
- Choose the data update option.
- Fill out the dedicated update form.
- Save the changes.
The authority has also mentioned that those eligible for job security benefits can benefit from the package of facilities and support provided by government institutions and private sector partners through the electronic portal of the Public Authority for Social Insurance.
It is worth noting that the number of active beneficiaries of job security benefits reached 15,653 by the end of May 2023. This system is part of a package of variables and developments within Oman’s social protection system, in response to the economic and social conditions faced by Omani workers who have ended their services due to circumstances beyond their control. It reflects the values upon which Omani society is built and reinforces the principles of the country’s constitution.
